Video? You can’t be serious!

That guy Anthony Reece leads us into new territory! Let’s have video helloes on the UVT site he says. Now, to some voice-only people, even a headshot is controversial – it might typecast, or maybe they’re just private souls. Personal choices.
It’s a friendly idea, and I decided to give it a whirl. But off the cuff? Learn a script? Teleprompter? I went for that one, as I had recently tried it for the first time and thrown away the result. Bits of hardware still hung about the place, so try and try again!
But what a palaver! Lighting, clothing, haircut, mirrors, scrolling speeds, the dreaded ‘scared rabbit’ look. It puts you in awe of TV colleagues who look so at ease. And, over here in UK, at least on my Mac, the playback is too stuttery to judge the result – so I have no real idea how it will look when or if it appears.
Ah, give me sound only! Lights out, I’m off to hug the microphone.

LOL Yes the camera is a whole other beast. Actually this is more so about a simple webcam recording to say hello” to prospects. No make-up, hair styles, or flash. Just you and the webcam. That is the norm of social media today. Thanks for sharing Howard, it is not for everyone. 🙂
